My MOON Map Theories…

So the trailer for Call of Duty: Black Ops map pack 4 entitled “Rezurrection” was posted today on the official Call of Duty website and a lot of questions were raised. Looking through some forums, I’ve seen a lot of theories people have been on what they hope to see. I’ve come up with a few theories of my own, but nobody will know for sure until August 23rd when the final map pack is released.
The first thing I noticed about the trailer was that Richtofen is absent from it. First we see Nikolai with the Wave Gun which is the new Wunder Weapon on this map. Then we see Takeo (without his hat) standing in front of a space suit. Finally we see Dempsey with the Death Machine mowing down some puss bags. Where’s Richtofen? It’s possible that he’s in another scene where we see 3 characters in space suits shooting zombies, but you cannot see who’s behind the suit. So is Richtofen somewhere else while Dempsey, Nikolai, and Takeo are fighting the horde’s of zombies all over the moon and Area 51? Or is there some other excuse. Maybe the developers just didn’t add him in the trailer…who knows?
Another theory is about the new perk. I’m pretty sure it allows the player to carry three guns instead of two. Either that or it allows you to dual wield your weapons…but I’m going with the three guns theory on that one.
There’s been talk of a “Phasing Zombie” which phases in and out of sight. It’s been said that you’ll be able to see a vague outline of it. Kind of like the Predator when he was invisible. This would make it very challenging while in battle.
The Nova 6 Crawlers are back and as mean as ever. They never really bothered me in Kino or Five so I’m not too worried about them. But things will be different on Moon since there is no air and less gravity. I’m not even sure the Nova Crawlers could explode on this map given the lack of air. But there may be parts of the map with air and some without.
The fact that there is no air could be a determining factor when trying to locate a zombie by sound. Since there is no air, there’s no sound right? Perhaps the zombies won’t be able to be heard like in all previous maps.
The Wave Gun is seen in the trailer and it’s a monster. It cooks the zombies from inside out like a microwave…in the trailer it even makes the “ding” sound you hear after you’ve fully cooked your macaroni and cheese in the microwave lol. Will that be in the game? And we’ve seen what happened to ONE zombie when shot with the Wave Gun, but what happens when you shoot a horde of zombies? Maybe they’ll all explode. Also, it looks like you can separate the Wave Gun into two guns. One gun is the normal Wave Gun and there’s a dual wield version by pressing the left stick on the d-pad that separates the gun into two Wunderwaffe DG-2 style handguns. We’ll see.
This map looks ENORMOUS!!! I think we’ll be able to travel from Area 51 to the Moon and back. There is a teleporter in the trailer….and it does look like it’s on an Earth located part of the map.
Jimmy Zielinski said the classic maps included with Rezurrection will have a “new twist.” What could this possibly mean? Since Der Riese is my favorite map out of all the zombie maps, I’m curious to see what new twists will be added. Also, Der Riese is spelled differently in the new map pack. What for? Well, in German Der Riese means “The Giant.” If spelled like Der Reise it means “The Journey.” Will we be going on a new journey with our heroes? In my opinion, we already have. And I’m DEAD excited for this final map pack. I think Treyarch has a few tricks up their sleeves with this one.
Feel free to discuss any findings, theories, or ideas you may have.
