During the event held on March 17th, Apple announced several changes headed our way in the latest iteration of the iPhone Operating System.

Some of the big ones…

MMS Text Messaging (Finaly!!!)

Cut/Copy/Paste (Break out the booze!)

Youtube login, subscriptions, and support for viewing comments

Voice Recorder

Mail.app will support rotating the iPhone horizontally, providing a better reading view and full size keyboard support when typing emails.

Developers can now access the Dock port via the iPhone SDK

Stereo Bluetooth support (A2DP)

iPhone tethering for internet access via Bluetooth or USB.

I am particular excited about Apple providing Developer support for controlling the Dock connector.  This will pave the way for things like the iControlPad and lots of other interesting peripherals.  Some games just play better with a real joystick
